Promotion in GP Care’s Operations Team

Heidi Hiscox was promoted to the role of GP Care Services Manager in April 2020. Heidi joined GP Care as a Service Lead in November 2013 and initially managed NHS Urology Services, Audiology Services and our self-funded Minor Surgery Service. Her promotion last year has seen this expand to include responsibility for all GP Care services. Heidi completed the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 qualification in November 2019 and now line manages seven staff.

Over the last year, Heidi has implemented the roll-out of our ultrasound service to eReferral, which allows patients to book their own ultrasound appointment online.  She continues to work hard to improve services for patients who access GP Care’s NHS and self-funded services while she has also implemented changes to GP Care clinics to ensure the safety of patients and staff throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Most recently, Heidi has mobilised a pilot project to assist Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with reducing their waiting list for patients who require Gynaecology assessment and treatment and has led on accommodating additional hospital urology long waiters. Both projects have enabled secondary care to concentrate on patients with more complex needs.
